And they are actually working! Of course, I haven’t gotten to the ‘turning the heel’ point, so I still love them and they are easy. We’ll see how I feel about them in, oh, a couple of inches.

Congratulations on knitting your socks. I’m a first time sock knitter also and turning the heel isn’t that bad. Just follow the instructions and relax! If you have a good yarn store near you take some time and see if there’s someone you can talk to if you get stuck. I’m so thankful for that part! Congratulations and good luck.
Thank you, Rose! I’m actually working on the heel right now, and I’m surprised at how–well, I won’t say easy–workable it is. This seems to be addicting, too–I’m already lining up more sock yarns to buy, and favoriting patterns on my Ravelry account.
